A Relaxed Hinterland Wedding at The Bower Estate

Dani & Matt were married on 3rd May 2025, hosting both their ceremony and reception at The Bower Estate. With 63 guests, the day felt intimate, personal and full of energy — exactly how they envisioned it.

Their ceremony took place on the Hillview lawn, one of The Bower Estate’s most breathtaking photo spots. With rolling hinterland views stretching out behind them, it was the perfect setting for a ceremony that felt natural, scenic and deeply romantic.

A Rainy Ceremony, A Movie-Scene First Kiss

Just as the ceremony was underway, the weather made a dramatic entrance.

Mid-ceremony, the rain started to pour, and instead of panicking, everyone leaned into it. Umbrellas appeared for guests, laughter rippled through the crowd, and Dani & Matt shared their first kiss in the pouring rain.

It was one of those moments you couldn’t script if you tried. Cinematic, emotional and wildly romantic. Proof that sometimes the unexpected becomes the most memorable part of the day.

During cocktail hour, the rain cleared and a rainbow appeared over the estate, before the sun came out just in time for golden-light portraits. All of Dani & Matt’s photos were taken on-site, making the most of the landscape without ever leaving the venue.

Champagne Towers, Surprise Dance Floors & Big Energy

After the ceremony, Dani & Matt made their entrance into cocktail hour with a champagne tower moment that perfectly set the tone. Fun, celebratory and a little bit extra (in the best way).

Thanks to incredible live music by Call Me Will, the dance floor kicked off in the middle of dinner, completely unplanned and full of energy. Guests were on their feet before mains were even finished — which honestly says everything you need to know about the vibe of this day.

A Day Focused on Fun, People & Being Present

More than anything, Dani & Matt wanted a day that felt fun, colourful, relaxed and full of love, and that’s exactly what they created.

They prioritised time with their guests, big group photos, and genuine moments over anything staged or forced. Even when the weather threw curveballs, the focus never shifted from what mattered most: celebrating together and soaking it all in.
