Gabbinbar Homestead Toowoomba Wedding | Caitlin & Ben

There’s something incredibly special about a Gabbinbar Homestead wedding — and Caitlin & Ben’s day was the perfect example of why this venue is one of my absolute favourites in Toowoomba.

With its sweeping gardens, historic charm and impeccable service, Gabbinbar is made for couples dreaming of a romantic, relaxed garden party vibe. Caitlin & Ben leaned fully into that energy, creating a day that felt effortless, intimate and focused on what mattered most: enjoying it together.

A Romantic Garden Party Wedding at Gabbinbar

Caitlin & Ben were married on 20th July 2025, choosing to host both their ceremony and reception at Gabbinbar Homestead. Having everything in one location meant the day flowed beautifully — no rushing, no travel stress, just plenty of time to soak it all in.

Their ceremony took place outdoors under the iconic fig tree, surrounded by lush gardens and their closest people. It was calm, heartfelt and full of that quiet excitement you only get when two people are completely sure about each other.

A Private First Look & Vows by the Fountain

Before the ceremony, Caitlin & Ben chose to do a first look and private vows near the fountain, and honestly — it was magic.

This is something I always recommend if couples want a quiet moment together before the day really kicks off. Away from the crowd, with just the two of them (and me quietly photographing from afar), they were able to slow down, breathe, and share something truly personal.

It was emotional, grounding and such a beautiful way to start the day.

Why Gabbinbar Is One of My Favourite Toowoomba Wedding Venues

I photograph weddings all over South East Queensland, and Gabbinbar Homestead consistently stands out.

From a photography perspective, it’s a dream:

  • Endless garden backdrops
  • Beautiful natural light
  • Multiple locations for portraits without leaving the venue
  • A seamless flow between ceremony, portraits and reception

Beyond that, the staff at Gabbinbar are incredible — calm, organised and genuinely invested in creating an amazing experience for their couples. It’s one of those venues where everything just works, allowing couples to relax and enjoy their day.

For Caitlin & Ben, this meant all of their portraits were done on the grounds, taking advantage of the gardens, pathways and heritage architecture without ever feeling rushed.

A Day Focused on What Matters Most

When I asked Caitlin & Ben what was most important to them, their answer was simple: enjoying the day together.

That intention showed in every part of their wedding — from the relaxed morning energy, to the way they moved through the day hand-in-hand, fully present with each other and their guests.

The vibe was exactly what they envisioned: cool, romantic, great food, and genuinely good energy.
