Brittany & Keelin’s Destination Wedding at Hyatt Ziva Corfu in Gouvia, Greece

I first met Brittany and Keelin back in 2024 for their engagement session at Coolum Beach on the Sunshine Coast, and we had an absolute blast. So when they reached out to me again in March 2025 asking me to fly to Greece for their destination wedding, .to say I was beyond stoked would be an understatement. I’d never been to Greece before, and I was available for their wedding date, so of course it was a huge YES from me.

Getting to celebrate and document their journey, from engagement to their wedding day, is something I’ll never take for granted. If you’re as obsessed as I am, keep reading for a little peek into their story and all the highlights from their day. 

Tragically Type B and Completely Smitten

As with every couple I photograph, I sent Brittany and Keelin a “Getting to Know You” type questionnaire before their wedding day. Not to tick a box, but because taking the time to understand how couples see each other helps me capture them in a way that actually feels like them. Their answers did not disappoint. 

Here are just a few of my favourites. 

How did you meet?

“Brittany and I met through a dating app and originally were playing phone tag. After a few weeks of back-and-forth, we finally met at a club called Summer House. From there, we were basically inseparable. Our first proper date was grabbing some takeout Thai, a bottle of wine and playing drinking games on Mario Kart and party. The rest is history.”

When did you know you wanted to spend your lives together?

“From our first (proper) date, we knew this was going to be serious. Especially at that time, with Brittany being on her working holiday visa, we kinda just jumped into the deep end with it and ran full steam ahead.”

What are your hobbies? What do you like to do together? 

“Brittany and I are very much the same, both tragically Type B (that’s what makes planning such an exciting activity for anything haha). Our hobbies definitely revolve around anything food-related, music, beach days, and everything involving our dog Tilly (we tragically can’t bring her to Greece). We love exploring new places to eat and trying as many places around us as possible. We recently bought a house together, so we have been entering our renovation phase of our life, which has become a part of our personalities.” 

What is the most important thing to you on your wedding day?

“Marrying my best friend.”

From the first time we hung out during their engagement photography session, I already knew these two were going to be fun, but reading their responses still made me laugh out loud. 

What I loved most was how chill and unapologetically themselves they were. Their responses encapsulated the kind of ease and natural affection between two people that makes space for genuinely meaningful and authentic photos. 

From Brisbane, Australia to Corfu, Greece: A Destination Wedding Celebration to Remember

With Keelin from Queensland and Brittany originally from the US, they knew that no matter where they chose to get married, one of their families would have to travel. So they made a very wise decision: if everyone’s travelling anyway, why not make it somewhere neither of them had ever been before? Alas, Greece it was. 

They chose the Hyatt Ziva Corfu (formerly Dreams Corfu Resort & Spa) in Gouvia, on the island of Corfu, for its stunning setting and the convenience of having everything under one roof. As a full-service holiday resort, it also gave everyone the perfect excuse to stay a little longer.

So, what made their destination wedding in Greece truly memorable was the week surrounding it. With family and friends from both sides flying in, everyone stayed at the resort for anywhere from a few days to a full week to make the trip worth it. Hens and bucks parties, boat trips around the island, and exploring Corfu together, all while staying at a luxurious island resort with all the amenities and entertainment you could wish for.

Ultimately, their vision for their day sums it up better than I ever could: “We personally envision the day as being able to celebrate this exciting day with all our loved ones. We want to remember having the best day of our lives with our soon-to-be wife/husband. Just being able to see the smiles on people’s faces along with the smiles on our own faces.”

Getting Ready for the Day Ahead: Sharp Suits & Something Blue

Ready to go, I arrived at Hyatt Ziva Corfu in the mid-afternoon to photograph Keelin getting ready with his crew. The vibe was upbeat yet relaxed, with the boys looking sharp in their light beige linen suits — the perfect choice for a seafront wedding overlooking Gouvia Bay in the springtime.

From there, I moved across to Brittany and her girls.

I absolutely loved the subtle baby blue theme, from the bridesmaids’ comfy getting-ready outfits to their dresses and both her mum’s and dad’s outfits. Everything tied in beautifully with the waterfront setting without feeling over-coordinated. Needless to say, Brittany looked incredible with her chic low bun, face-framing pieces, and corseted lace gown. 

And then came Brittany’s first look with her parents. No matter how many weddings I’ve photographed, nothing quite gets me like these quiet, tender moments. 

Saying Yes to Forever, Overlooking Gouvia Bay

With their 46 guests gathered from opposite ends of the world, the energy before the ceremony even began was something else entirely. You could feel the anticipation and love in the air as everyone arrived and settled in.

The ceremony was set right on the water’s edge, with uninterrupted views of the calm, glistening waters of Gouvia Bay stretching out behind them. Chiavari chairs were arranged on either side, with generous clusters of white and blue florals framing the aisle. At the front, a soft blue draped arch adorned with matching florals completed the setting with effortless elegance.

Between the heartfelt tears and laughter, Brittany and Keelin finally made it official. It might be their first time in Greece, but we all know they have plenty more food-and-country-hopping adventures ahead. And when they’re back home, there’s always Tilly and a fierce round of Mario Kart waiting for them.

Welcome Drinks, Group Shots & Couple Portraits

While guests soaked up the slower Mediterranean pace over welcome drinks, we moved through group photos and family portraits before I had to steal Brittany and Keelin away for their portrait session.

Having already spent time together during their engagement session, portrait time felt easy and natural. No awkward direction, no stiff posing — the wedding party let loose, and by the time it was just Brittany and Keelin, it was like we were picking up right where we left off in 2024.

There were definite flashes of déjà vu during their couple portraits, as I witnessed the same light-hearted chemistry and comfort between them that I remembered from 2024.

Exploring the expansive resort and its surroundings, I blended candid, documentary, and editorial approaches to capture their connection from every angle. Allowing authentic moments to unfold organically, alongside the iconic ones they’ll want framed on their walls one day.

A Laid-Back Alfresco Reception By the Infinity Pool

Their alfresco reception was held at the resort’s Seaside Grill restaurant. Overlooking the sea, it was a seamless transition from the ceremony, with the water remaining an unpaid actor in the background as the sun started to dip.

Brittany and Keelin made their entrance to a crowd of raised glasses and cheering, and the energy didn’t let up from there. Between delicious courses and sweet speeches, we snuck away briefly for sunset portraits while the light was doing its thing. 

Then it was back for the cake cutting and, of course, the moment everyone had been waiting for: the dance floor. At one point, Britt and all her girlfriends were dancing and singing along to ‘Choosin’ Texas’ by Ella Langley at the top of their lungs — and now every time Tom and I hear that song, we’re instantly brought back to that moment. Trust me, it was an absolute vibe.

Your Destination Wedding Photographer, Wherever You Say I Do

Having everything in one location, from getting ready through to the reception, made a real difference to how Brittany and Keelin’s day played out. No logistics to manage, no travelling between venues, and plenty of buffer time between each part of the day to breathe and actually soak it all in.

They moved at their own pace, honouring each other and all their loved ones who’d shown up for them. No watching the clock, no rushing through formalities. Just pure presence. 

And really, that’s what destination weddings are always about. Beyond the beautiful setting and the momentous occasion, it’s about recognising the people who matter most and allowing yourself to savour every bit of it. 

Because once the celebration is over and everyone returns home, what remains are the photos. The ones that take you straight back to exactly how it felt in the moment, surrounded by the people you love. A story worth telling, a story worth passing on.
